About Doki Doki Literature Club
Doki Doki Literature Club is a visual novel that presents itself as a cute school dating sim. You join the Literature Club and spend your days with Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri and the club president Monika, writing poems and chatting after school. It is free to play, carries a warning that it is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed, and is best started knowing as little as possible.
Inside Doki Doki Literature Club
Why Doki Doki Literature Club Feels Different From Other Horror Games
Most horror games tell you they are scary on the cover. Doki Doki Literature Club spends its opening on being cute — on purpose.
- Four club members: Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri and Monika.
- A poem-writing minigame where you pick 20 words to appeal to the member you like.
- Anime character art by Satchely and backgrounds by Velinquent.
- Written, coded and scored by Dan Salvato for Team Salvato.
- A content warning sits right on its official page: not for children or the easily disturbed.

Will You Write Your Way Into Her Heart?
Explaining what makes Doki Doki Literature Club work is hard without spoiling it. The short version: the early hours are doing more than they appear to, and small details pay off.

Join the club, write your first poem, and see who is waiting for you after school.
